Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Jeff B — 04 Sep 2007
Another amazing film I'm glad I finally got around to watching. This is probably one of the first David Lean films I've seen that's under 3 hours long. Excellently made, it's one of the few movies (well, considering how many I've seen) that I believed the love between the two characters.
I loved that Celia Johnson was narrating as though she was talking to her husband. The two leads were perfect together, and I loved the bartender and the man that kept flirting with her, they were great.
And that ending was incredible.
