A touching romance from David Lean, "Brief Encounter" tells the simple, undramatized story of two middle-class Englishmen (Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard) who fall in love with each other. Not a flashy romance by any means, but thoroughly believable, driven by fine performances, beautiful black-and-white cinematography, and Rachimanoff's Second Piano Concerto.
A must-see for fans of romantic movies.
