Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Neville F — 21 Sep 2007

Rachmaninov's 2nd piano concerto is a wonderful soundtrack, and the combination of David Lean directing Celia Johnson and Trevor Howard in the immaculately delicate Noel Coward script is a tear-stained trip to another world.
