Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Rami R — 03 Jul 2008
Absolutely heart-breaking. Before Lean turned his cameras to the most breath-taking spectacle and locations ever recorded, he was able to deftly capture the epic chambers of human feeling. While ahrdly steamy or torrid, the restrained and pained affair on display here is brutal in its restraint.
