Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Itamar K — 13 Jan 2010
Celia Johnson gives a good performance, but it could have been a masterful one if most of her narrations weren't as exciting as watching paint dry. That is my biggest issue with this film: the narration.
Too much telling, and what we're told is exactly what appears on screen. It makes the film an utter bore and I have no idea why its so highly regarded.
