Review of Brief Encounter (1945) by Ryan Q — 08 Nov 2010
Better with every watch. Fantastic screenplay adapted from Noel Coward's classic play. Every aspect works, but the secret to the film surely lies in the sumptuous lighting, and the unashamedly romantic soundtrack in the form of Rachmaninoff's beautiful 2nd Piano Concerto.
