Review of Bridge of Spies (2015) by Yash B — 09 May 2016
"Bridge of Spies" is still a confidently made and interesting espionage drama. If you're looking for a fast paced movie, this one isn't the right one for you. However, that doesn't mean the movie lacks any tension.
In fact, it has a subtle way of handling the tense situation that I really enjoyed. I was fascinated by this premise the whole way through and the movie took a direction I did not see coming. Tom Hanks and Mark Rylance deliver fantastic performances and I really cared about both of their characters the whole way through.
It doesn't really stand out when you compare it to other films Spielberg has brought us, but that doesn't make it any less worth your time because it is still a well-made movie with great performances and an engaging story.
