Spielberg preferred theme, cold war, fog, mystery. Well built movie, excellent locations, of that time clothes and decor, an atmosphere of the 50's and 60's of the previous century. A movie about the exchange of a Russian spy for a downed American pilot and a graduate American student arrested in East Germany.
Marvelous acting of Marc Rylance the Russian spy. Attractive acting of the Russian KGB man who run the negotiations. Good acting of Tom Hanks, the US layer and negotiator. Absorbing movie about the behind scene politics and negotiations.
Every actor did his role as planned. Perfect sceneries and scenario. An in shape Spielberg, brilliant as usual, that says it and does it all. A 2:20 hours movie, worth seen and attention, an excellent reminder of not that old days.
