Chick flicks get a lot of slack for mostly the right reasons but sometimes they really are there to simply entertain, no matter how ridiculous the plot might be (or how above chick flicks you think you are).
As in the case of "Bride Wars," each minute was so absurd and forseeable, yet there was an appeal to it that came, I would say, mostly from the leads, Kate Hudson and Anna Hathaway. Even with the usual screaming laughter or forlorn moments, the arguing and make-up routine, and the happily-ever-after, "Bride Wars" served as amusing entertainment.
