Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Minna S — 12 Apr 2010
I felt it kinda undermined the moral message of the first film. Dr. Frankenstein was murder and punished for his creation for trying to be like god. The Doctor and his creation perished together in a fire. Plus I didn't understand when the monster came to a moral understanding of life and death. Because in the beginning of the film, I thought he didn't understand that he was murdering people that his mind was not comprehending that he was killing people. It just didn't make sense to me that in the end it was the monster who was taking a moral highground. I didn't understand it.
On a side note I didn't enjoy the way the bride looked, her makeup was awesome.
