Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Brandon B — 05 Nov 2008
James Whale's classic and one of the greatest horror films ever made. The Monster is back, and more tragic than ever, plus we get one of the greatest villains in film history with Dr. Pretorious (Ernest Thesinger), who steals every scene he is in.
This film is full of classic imagery and cinematography, and we can only wonder what Whale would have done if he hadn't been held back by the studio constraints of the time. Simply amazing!
