Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Johnny M — 23 Jan 2010
This is not only the best horror film ever made it is one of the best films holly wood has ever produced.
A fantastic cast, headed by the quite remarkable Boris Karloff, James Whale's wry, knowing direction, Waxman's music and the stunning production design (the "Bride" herself is almost as iconic as Karloff's monster)allow this film to transcend it's genre and take it's place in the psyche of everyone who has even a passing interest in cinema.
Simply perfect.
