Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Tanner B — 04 Dec 2015
-IGNORE THIS "OUT OF FIVE" RATING.
4/4.
Brilliantly campy (and subtle) sequel to FRANKENSTEIN is an even better film, and a movie going must. With an eccentric Dr. Pretorius indulging plan to give monster a bride(!) Dr. Frankenstein refusing to help the wicked idea. Never a dull moment; powerful, technically dazzling, striking on every level, with mesmerizing sets and thunderingly effective final sequence inside castle. Rightfully regarded as classic, and one of the greatest films ever made. Sequel: SON OF FRANKENSTEIN.
