Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Bob V — 11 Jan 2011
The crowning jewel in the classic Universal horror film canon, a magnificently exciting entry in the Frankenstein Monster saga, I feel the greatest monster opus of the 1930's. King Karloff, as always, is incredible as the lonely, shambling creature, Elsa Lanchester is unforgettable as the bird-like Bride, & wonderfully oddball British character actor Ernest Thesiger runs away with it all as the calculating & manipulative Dr Pretorius, the catalyst for all the ensuing events.
Universal's greatest horror achievement, bar-none!!
