Review of Bride of Frankenstein (1935) by Laura N — 25 Oct 2013
I am totally going to blaspheme here and say that I liked the end of this better than the novel. The monster winds up being so much more of a decent guy than Frankenstein. And it keeps the main theme that man should not play the part of God.
Even the monster gets that at the end. I also LOVED the two scenes with the blind man and the monster. And I feel it was one of the best sequels I have seen. I liked how they reminded me of what had happened in Frankenstein, it has been a while since I saw it.
My two complaints are the comic relief maid and the tiny manchens made by Dr. Frankenstein's mentor. They bugged me.
