Review of Brick Lane (2007) by Pieter W — 25 Mar 2008
Loved the cinematography of reality vs escapism; set in a drab, colourless London then beautiful greens, reds, and golds fill the frame reflecting off magically appearing sequins, really nice but a couple of things I found a bit jarring were a distractingly stiff portrayal the insensitive husband and the dated, didn't sit right with the film, Bruckheimer(tm) white flash with woosh noise in the edit!
