Review of Brick Lane (2007) by Anna B — 27 Nov 2008
I loved this film, it was beautifully filmed, and I enjoyed the story. It had great performances from a excellent cast. You sympathize with the lead. But the defining moment for me me was how you change your attitude towards the husband at the end.
The aftermath of 9/11 impacts on all there lives, and its interesting to see two opposing attitudes toward the Muslim faith and what it means to the characters. I can see not many people enjoyed this film by the rating it has, but for me it was a great film and one I would recommend.
