Review of Brick Lane (2007) by Jenny R — 03 Mar 2009
The beginning to middle of the film sets the scene very well and the main actress brilliantly conveys her lonely & mundane existence. However, it goes rather down hill when 9/11 events get thrown in and the usual Islamic fundamentalists invade the scene.
The end is rather disappointing as you are left asking a lot of questions. Nonetheless, a lovely shot film.
