General Opinion:

Brick is an unbelievably unique thriller/drama that took me completely be surprise. While it isn't the greatest movie ever created, the fact that I'd never seen anything like it makes it something I'd recommend.

Acting:

Gordon-Levitt does a great job as the lead teenage character striding around his high school trying to solve a murder. The rest are all great actors as well and do a fantastic job to build up the well-written plot-line.

8/10.

Entertainment:

It's actually not all that entertaining when you think about it. However, an element of the movie that I just can't put my finger on keeps you drawn in the whole way through. It's just a really fresh take on the detective genre. I guess the word I'd say described this well would be "gripping.".

6/10.

Plot:

While this may seem like the typical detective movie plot-line, it is actually more than meets the eye. The depth in this film is actually pretty astonishing considering the obnoxiously low budget. But like I mentioned earlier, it is very well-written and mapped out.

7/10.

Replay Value:

I could probably watch this a few times before getting sick of it. It's a very solid movie that I think most people should see just to get a taste of it.

6/10.

Conclusion:

Brick is a very fresh take on detective films, drama films, thriller films, and every other type of film that is related to its genre. I feel like most people need to see this because the style present is something you've never seen before.

Rent it.
