Review of Brick (2006) by Ed A — 28 Dec 2010
A great example of contemporary film noir. Still paying respects to the past noir dialogue rhythms and structure, this mystery/action/drama saga follows Gordon-Levitt's Brendan character down the rabbit hole into the deceptive world of middle-class high school American culture.
Enjoyed the clean slick editing style and i'm always a sucker for hard-boiled noir dialogue done well.
