Review of Brick (2006) by Lee B — 12 Jan 2011
Brick is a modern take on a crime caper with plenty of obvious inspirations from films like Chinatown. It's a great piece of the work. Levitt's work is worth mention as he does wonderful things with his character.
Some of the other characters are a bit irritating and the screenplay falls flat in certain areas, but not enough to impact the film negatively. As original and well played out as it is, it doesn't do much for me.
I like it, but that's it.
