Definitely plays like a black-and-white crime film...but then you realize it's high school. It makes some things absolutely ridiculous and if you think about it...you might even laugh. I know I did.
But it all makes sense and is thoroughly genuine. However, doesn't stand as a great high school movie or great crime movie.
