Review of Brick (2006) by Ben S — 07 Oct 2013
Brick is a movie about Brendan (Joseph Gordan Levitt) and how throughout the movie he tries to figure out a case envolving his ex-girlfriend. And some big drug runners around his school.
This film is a great movie with a great cast and amazing story and script. and one of the best indie detective movies I have seen or actually ever heard of. this movie is the first of its kind putting the classic detective movie in a high school setting.
I was greatly impressed by Joseph Gordan Levitt's performance in this movie. as he struggles with what he should do throughout the whole movie as he starts to put all the pieces together and starts figuring the case out. and his sly sarcastic manner makes this movie also funny at times, but most of all easy to watch.
Overall this movie was very well made and well shot with Rian Johnson directing. he brings some very intense scenes and some very momentous shots. making this film flow very well together and very entertianing.
