Despite being directed and edited with flair, 'Brick' is a generally disappointing crime drama whose only redemption is the performances from the always watchable Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Noah Fleiss and Matt O'Leary.
Unfortunately the momentum is bogged down by a dialogue-heavy screenplay too caught up in marvelling at how clever it thinks it is.
