If I had one thing to complain about with Brick, it would have to do with its sometimes dauntingly wordy screenplay, but its not too convoluted and otherwise flaunts its sharp and practical direction with ease to coincide with the "all-or-nothing" Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a deeply involving lead role.
