Review of Breathless (1983) by Lynda M — 23 Nov 2009
With hind sight is a wonderful thing, yet I find it easy to go back to the films of the past where many never tried these new ideas with camera, editing, story telling etc. Godard did. Breathless is indeed unique and experimental, and even if some of Godard's ideas didn't come off, well look at the number who have copied it, modified it and made extra ordinary films becasue of it.
