Review of Breaking Away (1979) by Spencer S — 01 Aug 2008

Both my parents went to IU and while I ended up not going there myself, the history and geography of the campus and surrounding area are part of my background. Needless to say, I was quite interested to watch this film, just as much for the inspiring message and a number of funny one liners, as for the running commentary of my parents pointing out all of the different landmarks of their time on campus.

The best part though, was that my parents both knew somebody that was actually in the film.
