Review of Breaking Away (1979) by Martin S — 25 Aug 2011

A solid flick about a down on their luck group of friends trying to figure out what to do with their lives. this sort of story has been told many times but perhaps was a bit more fresh in the early 80's upon this movie's release.

good performances all around but three of the four friends really aren't developed to any great degree. The final race was somewhat comical, do they actually conduct bike races around a running track? Also, can a man on a bike ride at greater speeds than 60 mph for extended stretches?
