Let's take a moment to appreciate how utterly bizarre the whole Italian subplot is. And the fact that Dennis Christopher, Daniel Stern, and Jackie Earle Haley all went on to careers as typecast creeps and monsters.
These two things combine to make this more than the conventional "family feature" it's billed as on the box cover.
