Review of Breakfast with Scot (2007) by Jpaul M — 14 Jun 2008
I haven't read the book, but the film version provides a very heartwarming story. The writing falls short of making it worthy of a full 5 stars. For instance, the final turn of events in the story was not completely believable.
It needed some polishing. The writing also made it appear too easy for Scot to adjust to a household where his identity was being suppressed. It seems the writers wasted an opportunity to draw parallels between Scot and Eric's experiences in order to get to the feel-good ending more quickly.
