Review of Breakfast with Scot (2007) by Mikhael E — 16 May 2009
This film worked for because of the weird premise and the difficult subject matter it tackled - an effeminate kid that we would label as gay who is sweet and cute but disdained for said effeminacy. And how can we project "gay" onto a child anyway?
The gay dads theme was double challenged because at least one of these dudes was in the closet and confronted by the kids homo like antics.
The story came together well - if a tad slow to start - and had some good, funny and atouching moments.
