Review of Breakfast on Pluto (2005) by Samantha H — 23 Apr 2008
It took me a while to get into this film. I thought it was a biography of a 70s rock star. It is infact about a disturbed "orphan" who goes in search of his mother. When I caught on I really started to enjoy this film. It has some great surreal moments like the talking birds and the fantasies of "Kitten".
I thought my TV speakers were playing up because I found it really hard to understand, and I'm half Irish!?! By the looks of other reviews here it might be worth sticking the subtitles on.
Cillian Murphy was excellent, he made a very convincing woman, more by the way who moved and spoke than the way he looked. He is the confuser!
