Review of Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) by Joel H — 18 Mar 2014
I don't quite understand the obsession with Breakfast at Tiffany's. Yes, Audrey Hepburn is a talented and beautiful actress, but Holly Golightly is a superficial and annoying character. I didn't really care for Paul, either, and I wasn't deeply invested in their relationship.
Plus, I couldn't relate to the 60s New York party scene in general. There were some brief moments of fun and whimsy in this film, but overall I found it to be uninspiring.
