Review of Braveheart (1995) by [Anonymous] — 17 Nov 2005
The battles are suprisingly good, even without CGI, and the violence is satisfying. It's more about standing up for ideals, the difficulties of doing so, and how your ideals influence others, which is pretty interesting and refers to even today's situations.
It doesn't always resonate as it should, though, and LOTR has bypassed this epic in almost every category, but Braveheart is still a strong entry in the genre.
