Review of Braveheart (1995) by Tori H — 28 Sep 2013
To be honest, I have no idea how this won best picture. It's certainly big, in every sense of the word, and it's beautifully scored. However, past that, it feels vaguely empty and is incredibly predictable.
If I wanted to see three hours of Mel Gibson glorifying himself--oh wait. I don't. Is it worth a watch, at least for its elaborate visuals and entertaining battle scenes? Sure. But it's certainly nothing to write home about.
