Review of Braveheart (1995) by Scott M — 08 Apr 2017
I wonder if any of my ancestors got into any of this style biffo?
Gibson's take on the life of Scottish hero, William Wallace, has many historical inaccuracies.
Scots did not start wearing tartan for another 300 years. The Scots never painted their faces for battle. The Picts, another people group who inhabited Scotland before assimilating into the Scots and Celts, did. The film also leaves out one of Wallace's most famous victories, the Battle of Stirling Bridge.
Otherwise, this is a well made film that men will especially enjoy.
