Review of Brave (2012) by Dorothy Q — 21 Dec 2013
Great for teens- Merida is independent, flawed, and brave. It takes a lot of courage to challenge the social order that your parent(s) had set up for you. Not for little kids, though. The message would be hazy for them, and the darkness of the film could scare them.
No romance, strong female character. Overall, I loved the film and would recommend it for anyone who forgot that their parents are independent, flawed... and brave, just like them.
