Review of Brave (2012) by Michael F — 28 Jun 2014

I went into Brave wanting to love it, but came out thinking that there was way too much untapped potential. The movie wanted to be a big fantasy adventure, and there were several spots where that came into play.

However, the movie is going at such a fast pace that the viewer does not have enough time to soak it in. Give me those epic "Lord of the Rings" wide shots, tell me the lore to this world, but do it in a way that does not feel like you want to get it over with.

Overall, the movie feels to be cluttered and a bit of a mess, but it is entertaining and worth a least one viewing.
