I'll admit that before compiling this list I watched Lindsey Ellis' (the nostalgia chick) list of her favorite movies, and she mentioned this movie had been re-written after it was mostly animated, and yes, I can see that.

The first third I actually really liked, even if it was a Disney standard, "princess wants to do her own thing" story. After that, it just gets... weird, with the plot twists coming out of nowhere.

For a film set in the Scottish highlands, for me where it goes simply doesn't make sense. Probably about par with "A Bug's Life" as far as Pixar movies go -- not Cars bad, and DEFINITELY better than Cars 2, but not up to snuff.
