Review of Brassed Off (1996) by Stephen V — 03 Jun 2008
A brilliant working class drama with some comedy thrown in. The film takes place in the midst of a coal miners strike and centers around a band, made up of miners, which turns out to be symbolic of their struggle.
Pretty refreshing in a time when comedy tends to mean American Pie part 14 or whatever ridiculous sequel they are on now. Well worth a watch.
