Review of Branded to Kill (1967) by Drew M — 10 Oct 2007
Sezuki's last film with Nikkatsu, this project resulted in him being fired for making "movies that make no sense and no money". A masterpiece of timing and shades of grey, "Branded to Kill" remains one of my top films because of its ability to portray the manic nature of the main character through kinetic cameras, broken jazz music, and surreal and often shocking imagery and dialogue.
