Review of Brampton's Own (2018) by Xshepler — 03 Dec 2018
Not seeing many romantic flicks, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Brampton’s Own. I was left pleasantly surprised, this being a fun baseball film that didn’t feel too cliché and didn’t try to take itself seriously.
Alex Russell plays a AAA baseball player, Dustin, who decides to quit his baseball career to move back to his hometown of Brampton. When he returns home, he runs into his high school sweetheart and decides to try to spark up their relationship again.
The movie is very comical and makes fun of small town dramas as I found myself laughing throughout much of the film through the antics Dustin goes through with the town locals. Brampton’s Own overall was a great feel good experience for me.
