Review of Brampton's Own (2018) by Cristinastrait — 19 Nov 2018
Brampton’s Own portrays the comfort found in our past when our future does not seem as bright. Alex Russell brings a 30-year-old baseball player to life who must return home after chasing his professional dream for 12 years.
After seeing his friends succeed in areas ahead of him, Dustin comes to the realization his time limit on his career has not taken him where he anticipated. He is faced to decide where he wants to be and where he’s been all along.
I loved how this movie harped on the importance of leaning on family and receiving help from others. With the help of his family and old acquaintances, Dustin must choose between his first love of sport or his high school first love.
