Mickey Rooney keeps the annoyance level to a minimum, and Spencer Tracy is just magical. You can watch it for the campy, outdated language and action, but you really should watch it because it's a very good movie.
Oh, and it made me cry. Something about troubled youth that really gets to me. :-).
