Review of Boyhood (2014) by Daniel C — 16 Mar 2015
"Life is just a bunch of milestones; having kids, getting married, having kids. Do you know what's next? my fucking funeral!"-Mom.
Beautiful and idiosyncratic, compelling and masterful, articulate and astounding, no one man nor woman shall be the same following their viewing of Boyhood. We empathize with Mason's internal and external struggles as he copes with change, peer-pressure, nefarious people, sexual interests, and more as he travels throughout the daunting labyrinth formally known as adolescence. This film has no definite plot, and that is what is remarkable about its exceptionality; it is the small moments in life that add up. A must see!
