4/5. Boyhood is a very interesting film and might be the realest film I have ever seen. It feels more like a documentary then anything. Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette are both fantastic, but Ellar Coltrane and Lorelei Linklater, while solid during the childhood years, lose their acting ability as they get older and become very irritating, though this is probably an accurate portrayal of most teenagers.
