Review of Boxing Helena (1993) by Daniel B — 27 Sep 2007
The movie that proves that whatever David Lynch has must be at least partly genetic. His daughter's first movie treads some similar ground as her famous father, but never seems to have his flair for visceral impact, which is saying something when the subject of your film is a doctor who fantasizes about amputating the arms and legs off of his ex.
Nice and dark, but a little hollow and unfulfilling.
