Review of Boxcar Bertha (1972) by Alex R — 17 Oct 2013
Scorsese's second film and only western, Boxcar Bertha is an entertaining yet not so fulfilling film. I'm not a big fan of this era, which I didn't let affect my rating, but Scorsese knows how to direct his camera around anything.
He is a mastermind. The actors all did well and Hershey was great. The thing the movie lacked was a true desire to move forward. The script and story needed work.
