Review of Bounty Killer (2013) by Kevin R — 07 Jan 2014
You cut me deep.
In the future an apocalypse occurs leading to a revolution of sorts. The white collared American lose the war and live in their own private locations. Their camps are illegal and as identified, a price is placed on each white collar individual's heads. Bounty Hunters compete, on a national stage, to bring down these bounties and their popularity is based on their success.
"I'm stealing a stagecoach from a bunch of savages with a wanted criminal, moonlighting as a bounty killer, who has the hots for a murderous, deranged Gypsy.".
"Dreams do come true, kid.".
Henry Saine, director of The Last Lovecraft, delivers Bounty Killer. The storyline for this picture is fairly interesting and the special effects and action scenes are awesome. I loved the cult classic feel to this movie and thought the acting was better than anticipated. The cast includes Beverly D'Angelo, Gary Busey, Matthew Marsden, and Kristanna Loken.
"No, Greg, you are really not understanding me. In the amount of time we've been talking, most women would have already decided whether they wanna fuck or be your friend. I'm not most women, Greg. I just decide whether I wanna fuck... or kill you.".
We watched this off Netflix last night as a random selection that looked like it had potential. Right away, this reminded me of Planet Terror mixed with Death Race and Doomsday. There were more aspects of this that I enjoyed more than I anticipated. I actually strongly recommend seeing this if you're a fan of the grindhouse genre.
"I say, load up the guns and pack the biscuits, boys. We are going on a bona fide adventure!".
Grade: C+.
