Review of Bounce (2000) by Michelle C — 17 Oct 2008
The medium through which this film tells its story is perhaps not the most accessible, but Affleck and Paltrow connect on screen very very well, and that carries this type of film a long way. The resorting to a courtroom ending is very disappointing.
There are some very touching moments throughout, but there are also glaring shortcomings (Affleck's character is underdeveloped as the jerk he supposedly is before meeting Paltrow).
